Up Here in Da Burg.

So, I was super sad for this semester to start, my best friend Sarah Tonks moved to Belize for the summer. I won't be able to see her until January. Holy cow. Buuuuuutt.... I am having the best semester of my life. My roommates are fenominal! (I don't know how to spell that). But they are so wonderful, we do so much together and we're even on the same flag football team (The Mighty Jellyfish... we wanted to name ourselves "The Flying Flaggettes", "The Sister Wives", "The Baby Mama's"... wouldn't those've been funny?!" Anyways, we have so much fun with dance parties, late night chit chats, waking up our neighbors at 3 in the morning, cheering sessions whenever somebody goes to take a test, and so so so many other things. I've been so blessed this semester! Thanks roomies--Andrea Gonzalez, Cori Flint, Ratkill Robinson, Kaity Lewis, Amy Ruben, and Mattie (Grabby) Bean. Love you guys so so so much, you're the best!

Finally Some Income!

I got a job, I got a job, I got a job hey hey hey hey! I'm going to be working at Jacob Lake in Arizona! I start on August 18-December 20! Man, this is just what I wanted, it's going to be so awesome! I know of another girl who is going, so that will be fun. I will be working in the Gift Shop, who better to work in a gift shop than me?! Haha I love gift shops! Yay! Anyways. I'm just super excited and can't wait to get down to Arizona!

I'm SO Old!

Goodness gracious! I am going to be 20 in 2 days, 15 hours, and 45 minutes. I don't know if I'm ready! Twenty is half of forty which is half of 80, which is almost 100! Holy cow! Well, I guess it's comin' so I'll just have to suck it up and be an old fart! What should I do while I'm a teenager?! I don't have very long to do crazy teenager stuff! I think I'll go make a bucket list! I'll post it when I'm finished!

Welcome to the Land of Fame Excess!

On February 17-21, Sarah Tonks, Ryan McMurray, Sean Thompson, and I took a road trip to Bakersfield California. IT WAS SUCH A BLAST! I didn't expect it to go so wonderfully, there were a few little bumps in the road, but overall it was a fabulous weekend. On the way to California, we stopped to take picture by the signs and the giant thermometer in Baker. Ryan had never been to Arizona, Nevada or California, so it was even more fun taking him somewhere he'd never been.

 On Friday when we arrived in Cali, we had dinner and played with Sean's niece and nephews, it was so good to be around little kids again, but it made me really homesick for Boise. After that we went bowling and had to get wanded. "I have a feeling I'm not in Kansas" were the words that kept repeating in my head. My first game was awesome, and then it was all down hill from there.

On Saturday, we woke up late since we didn't even get home that morning until 4 am, and we left for the Santa Monica pier in L.A. when we got to the pier it started to rain... it would... but that didn't last for too long and when the clouds lifted for a few minutes, we went and enjoyed the ocean. When it started to sprinkle again we took off to the L.A. Temple, it was so pretty and the Visitor Center there is so wicked awesome! You can draw pictures and it will show them on a T.V.!

After the temple we went to HOLLYWOOD and went to Mann's Chinese Theater, on our way there we stopped by the Kodak Theater and as we were going up the escalator (Buddy the Elf style), I sliced my leg open and thought I had to get a tetnis shot (I made an appointment, but it turns out they're good for 5 years and I got one in 2007). I got to touch Hugh Jackmans hand!!! AHH! And I saw the Carpenters star!

We ate at a restraunt called Tommy's, it specializes in Hamburgers, fries, and hot dogs... but these ain't normal... oh no, everything has CHILI on it! So yummy, and healthy!

The next day, Sunday, we went to church, when we drove past Sarah's car, we realized that she had a flat tire, we kind of knew that one was getting flat, but we thought it was the one on the other side of the car. Turns out that we were right, that one was a little flat, but the tire we saw had been SLASHED! It was quite the California experience!

This about concludes our trip, on Monday we drove all the way back through 5 states and home to freezing cold Rexburg. It was a wonderful Presidents day weekend, thank you George, Abe, and Tom. Y'all rock!

During the weekend of February 4th-6th, I went to Boise for June's baby blessing! It was so awesome to see my whole famly! I love them and miss them so so so much! I especially miss Fin and June! Here are some pictures of the whole famn damily!

School, school, and more school....

School is going pretty well, I'm only about a month is and I can't believe that midterms aren't here yet, school has been going on for forevvvvvver! No joke! I'm taking the following classes, Family Foundations, The Middle East, Childhood Nutrition, Child Development, Natural Disasters and Early Childhood Education. I like all of my classes, for the most part. The one that I was most nervous for is the Middle East one, just because I know NOTHING about the middle east, except for there is lots of oil and gas over there! But I've actually learned a lot! Yay me! I got a 92% on my exam, I have always wanted to get a good grade on a test so that a happy word like "Awesome!" would be placed next to my test score! It was a very happy day!

Since I did so well, Sarah and I dyed our hair that night! I love it! I've always wanted brown hair, and I honestly think that it looks pretty good! I love sharing a room with Sarah, she's the best roommate ever! We do everything together including rolling on the ground laughing at stupid animals at 3 A.M., crying at sad movies, and giggling about boys in the middle of the night! It's so awesome! I couldn't ask for a better friend... unless she were filthy rich and could take me to DisneyLand everyday! Just kidding Sarah, you're awesome!

2011 as a Sophomore!

I'm a sophomore in college! I made the stupid mistake of  buying 99% of my books at the BYU-Idaho bookstore... that was dumb, because now I am broke. But I'm way excited for this semester. Tuition is paid, and tomorrow I will pay my rent, then most of my expences will be paid! I love my roommates they are about a bajillion times better than last year, they are all fun, cute and way nice girls! This semester will be great, I just have to find a job and get through all the homework! But I've decided to just take it a step at a time and do my best!
